Messages from Better
Gay and Lesbian youth and young adults need to know that things get better. When we're young it can feel like our world is so small that we'll never rise above our circumstance or current problems. This blog is dedicated to telling them it will get better. You won't always feel so helpless. You will expand your world. It gets better. Call The Trevor Project at 866-488-7386 / www.thetrevorproject.org. Do you have a message from Better? Submit it below.

More Messages
Looking back, I can't believe how far I have come in my life. I never imagined that I would travel the world, jetting from amazing place to amazing place. Meeting wonderful people from all over the world, getting to know how much I have in common with them and being cherished by them.
Oh, and my mom loves me.
Here's some great messages from the Broadway cast of Chicago.

Resources for you, no matter what you're feeling or thinking
Please - reach out. No one can offer you understanding unless you can talk to them. There are plenty of people and organizations who are there to listen and not judge.

What will happen to your world
When I was young I felt everything very intensely, and I imagine it was because my experience was not very wide or deep - I grew up in a small town, and seemed to know everyone I came into contact with.
Looking back now, I can see that my world was actually very small - that I had no idea the places I would go and the experiences that I could have. It was literally beyond my imagination at the time.
In a few years, you could feel the same way.
Here's a message from Jason Derulo:

Still in shock
It's been about a week of hearing about kids losing their way, and choosing to end their lives - and I'm still in shock.
I wish I could have been there to find a way to get through to even one of them. To tell them to hang on.
I wish they didn't get to that place where everything seems so dark and hopeless. I would tell them that it may be dark, but not hopeless.
